About the Doctor
Dr. Dennis Dunne has been providing excellent pediatric dental care since 1995. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University and completed a pediatric residency at Baylor University at Texas Scottish Rite and Children's Medical Center Hospitals in Dallas.To become a pediatric dental specialist Dr. Dunne had to complete a minimum 24 months in advanced training accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of the American Dental Association (ADA) after completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He performed this training at Baylor University in Dallas, Texas where such a program was designed to provide special knowledge and skills. He was trained in hospital and sedation dentistry for healthy children and children with special needs. At this program Dr. Dunne was required to provide care, conduct research and teach in a variety of clinical and academic settings including private practice and public health. For children ranging in age from birth to young adulthood.
Dr. Dunne is a member of a number of prestigious organizations including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Oregon Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Lane County Dental Society. Dr. Dunne is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support.To give back to the community, Dr. Dunne participates with ODS Community Health, Head Start, Looking Glass, the Children's Dental Program, Boy Scouts of America and the Children's Miracle Network. He donates to local school auctions and sponsors various local sports teams. He and his staff also volunteer annually with the foster parents association. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family, sports, traveling and exploring local destinations. |
